Hey gang, here's a lot of really AWESOME short poems Ryan wrote.  You know, it's a shame I've already got a Savior, because I like Ryan THAT MUCH!

Short Ones

Without Warning

The other day

A hand from heaven

Zoomed down from the sky

Before a word was said

It squished my head

And left without saying

Goodbye

Four Stars
Four Stars twinkled with brilliant light

Shining hope in hopeless night

Then they burned out, one by one

And all at once the light was gone

Now You Know it, Too

I overheard my aunts talking

"You know it and I know it."

And so I asked,

"Do I know it?"

And she said

"Now you do."

Now you know it, too!

Please

Sweet Sandy said to Naughty Bobby

"Bobbywill you please

"Please please please please

"Please please please please

"Please please please please

"Please please please please

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease

"Stop banging a hammer on my toe?"

Bobby stopped his work and pondered

"No."

Celebrations

Everybody celebrates

In their own most special way

Robby yells "Hip-hip!"

Bobby shouts "Hooray!"

Scouter says "Yahoo!"

Baby Story goes "Gurgle-gum"

Jackie says "Shoop-shoop!"

Fat Emma just says "Yum!"

Trenter shouts "Yippee!"

And Tanner's too young for  exclamations

Everybody's different

What's your celebration?

Fish for Shoes

If you had fish for shoes

You'd slip instead of walk

Fishermen would try to catch you

And you'd stink an awful lot

Empty

Look

Look at my empty Cola can

Sitting here, empty

Beside my hand

What if it would walk for me?

What sort of joys and thrills there be?

Stand-up, dance around

Jumping up, gettin' down

My empty cola can

Talks to me

Of places past

And future be

And it's my friend

He and me

If it could walk

And wasnt empty

Maddy Moo Music

Maddy Moo made music

But not with her armpit or her elbow

She didn't use the drums

The tuba or an oboe

She only used one instrument

I bet you'd never guess what

Until you saw Maddy Moo

Making music, with her toothbrush

"But it's for cleaning your teeth

"Or they'll fall out" her parents brayed

Maddy never heard them

Only the music that she played

Soon her teeth turned yellow

Then an ugly shade of green

Then her mouth began to rot

The saddest sight you've ever seen

When she had an empty mouth

A-gummin' down her food

The toothbrush still made pleasant music

Played by Maddy Moo

How do Fish Breathe Underwater?

Daddy, how do fish breath underwater?

And how do doggies swim

Why do the birds fly?

And why'd you name my brother "Tim"?

Daddy, what color is fusche?

And why is the sky blue?

Daddy, if I make some wings

Could I fly like a bird, too?

How much longer till I'm old enough

To grow a full-faced beard?

Daddy, where would the car go

If it wasn't being steered?

Why's the living room got carpet

And not the bathroom floor?

Where do babies come from?

And what's behind that door?

Why do the stars shine?

And how do bunnies hop?

Daddy!  I'm not sleepy cause

I drank 'bout ten soda pops.
