Ryan received the good news this
week that several of his old friends are doing very well in life, and achieving
dreams similar to his own. Two of
his friends from college (who are really more acquaintances at best) are having
a pilot produced for their sketch comedy show. Ryan was very happy for their success, though it called into
question his own decision to stay in Peebles, Ohio after college, rather than
traveling to LA to achieve his dreams.
Another of Ryan’s friends
performed in a sketch comedy festival and partied with members of the State and
the Whitest Kids U Know. Ryan was
invited to attend the festival, but declined.
When asked why he didn’t attend
the festival, Ryan replied, “Because I’m a stupid piece of shit and I hate my
god damn miserable life.”
To date, several of Ryan’s former
creative friends are moving on toward fulfilling lives. He has friends working on national
commercials, reality shows traveling the world, composing music for
Nickelodeon, touring with the Spongebob Squarepants the musical, working for the HBO reality series 24/7, and at least
one friend is married to an underwear model.
"I'm very happy with their success, and admire their ambition,"said the soon-to-be unemployed amateur comedian.
Ryan is currently in his room,
updating his website.
