Dear Editor,
In Terry McNalley's letter last week, he said, "Satan has probably read the
Bible more times than any of us, and is a master of misquoting and misapplying scripture." We are at war with an enemy that
is better versed in God's Word than we. We must be vigilant!
The thought of the Prince of Lies holding God's Word in his gnarled, scaly
hands makes me shake with rage. How dare he use God's words as his own? But more importantly, how did Lucifer acquire this Bible? What traitorous Christian let the Holy Word slip into the hands of the Lord of Hell?
Our Bibles are more than just books; they're the direct words of our Lord,
the creator of the universe, to we lowly mortals on Earth. They're our only weapons
in our war against Satan. As Christians, we must safeguard our Bibles just
as the FBI and CIA guard us against terrorists. We need to tighten the Bible
Net, and make sure every Bible is accounted for. Be vigilant: remember, that
seemingly kind old woman sitting in the pew next to you could in fact be a spy, an agent of Hell who scurries away to lick
the grimy toes of the Devil.
Do you realize that there are thousands of specialty shops in this country,
which allow anyone to breeze in off the street and purchase a Bible, without even having to show identification? These individuals are then free to go, with no paper trail, no registration, and no agency to monitor their
use of God's Holy Testament. We cannot let our Gospel Jesus Christ to fall into
the wrong hands.
Sincerely,
Ryan Arey
