Dear State Representative Bubp,

I am writing to compliment you on the striking new photo of yourself that accompanies your columns in our local papers. 

In person, you are a very striking individual, which is why I was disappointed by your original photo, which made you look like a big-eared snake.  A terrible photographic reproduction that made you seem goofy, even puny. 

Puny is not the Danny Bubp that I know. 

The Danny Bubp the voters elected is intrepid and striking.  He’s a man with keen eyes and a bold, tenacious grin.  He is leading us forward into an area that is well lit, with just enough shadows to fill in the features of our faces and give them depth.  This new photo is a man who doesn’t hesitate; a man who strikes while the iron is hot, a man who has no distracting glare on his forehead. 

This is a dash, debonair man of Ohio, a man with a slightly crooked tie to denote his common, everyman appeal.  A man with a crew cut, the guy across the street, a statesman who deserves to have his face in the paper. 

This is the photo of a man who keeps Satan and his minions in the American Civil Liberties Union at bay, as they try to derail our state budget by refusing contact with Our Lord in times of important decision-making, such as sessions of the Ohio Legislature.
